Description

If successful in this role, you will be joining a Facilities Management Maintenance Team on an expanding and technically advanced laboratory campus located in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Senior Trades/Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline: Electrical, Mechanical, Fitter, Plumber is desired.
Solid experience in utilities & plant maintenance in an industrial, facilities or similar environment.
At least 5-10 years’ relevant, broad-based experience.
Comfortable when interfacing with computers, phone apps, HMI’s, BMS, etc.
Good English: conversational & technical, written & spoken

Responsibilities

To carry out a range of technical duties covering electrical, mechanical and general building fabric maintenance in a laboratory-type environment. Duties will occasionally consist of general operative-type tasks such as furniture moving.
To carry out planned preventative maintenance on a wide range equipment: AHU’s, pumps, boilers, chillers, water systems, generators, etc.
Replace bearings & mechanical seals.
Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues such as to maximise equipment uptime.
Liaise with the helpdesk & Engineering Managers and respond to all technical and non-technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the company’s contractual obligations.
Assist subcontractors as required.
Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment.
Assist with queries regarding quotations and purchasing.
Interact with and work via CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) software and maintain appropriate records.
Source spare parts as required to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislative requirements.
Contribute to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.
Take on ad hoc projects from time to time.
Join the 24/7 on call rota - approx. 1 week in every 7 to 8 weeks.

Work a morning / evening shift that alternates weekly. The current pattern is Monday to Friday: 6am to 2pm and Monday to Thursday 1pm to 9pm (11am to 7pm on Fridays). This is subject to minor changes where operational requirements exists.
The offer of employment is subject to successful completion of Garda Vetting by the employee.
The employee will be required to submit a DNA sample for inclusion in the National DNA Database managed by Forensic Science Ireland
The employee is required to accept, sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Confidentiality Agreement.
The campus has an associated site located approx. 30 mins away and you may be required to carry out works there on occasion. Note, Transport on mileage is provided if this is the case.
