Position Overview The Electrical Maintenance Technician performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds for Walmart AMP (Rogers) and Walton Arts Center (Fayetteville). Some travel between locations will be required. Working under general supervision, this position assists in monitoring building system operations and performance, and utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. Requirements Principal Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair and contribute improvements to all in-house industrial controls, programmable controllers, etc., and performs preventative maintenance functions to such equipment. Under the guidance of the Director of Facility Engineering assume back-up role of Company electrician, when needed, in building and grounds department. Perform preventative, proactive, and if required reactive maintenance Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings electrical, prints Knowledge of electrical circuit Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and HVAC. Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs. Maintains lighting systems throughout the facilities, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps. Performs carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks, as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Performs general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading, and moving materials. Run errands to support projects. Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines. Maintain professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and tenants of leased spaces. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment under the supervision of a licensed electrician Learn and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance and safety. Some experience in electrical conduit, pulling, bending, rough and trimmed. Use power tools and hand tools to complete electrical installations and repairs. Cover extended work shifts on shows days (Show days 12hr shift.) Understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work.
