POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an electrical Project Manger with electrical estimating experience who can lead the the electrical division at an established industrial multi-trade contractor. The successful candidate will be overseeing the daily operations of the electrical division and coordinating with other project managers at the company to ensure a proper customer experience. This is a customer facing position as you will be the customer’s first point of contact with the company. You must be willing to take on the role of the designated master electrician for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for industrial electrical projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Perform quantity take-offs manually or using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Source and obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and electricians to ensure realistic cost and labor estimates.
  • Track project costs and use them to inform future estimates.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
  • Sign off on invoices and manage work orders and employee time sheets
  • Meet with customers to identify scope of work, create estimate, and send to customer

Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrical estimating or quoting, preferably in an industrial/commercial setting.
  • Experience in project management
  • Solid understanding of electrical distribution and control systems, Ontario electrical code, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates at once.
  • Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers, clients, and internal team members.
  • Journeyperson Electrician registered with STO
  • Must be a Master Electrician in Ontario
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s construction and safety regulations.
