THE VACANCY

Are you an experienced and qualified electrical professional ready to step into a key leadership role? Do you want to make a real impact by managing a dedicated in-house team and ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical services?
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Manager to lead our electrical operations across domestic and commercial properties at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (e.g. City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382 or EAL equivalent)
  • C&G Level 4 Design & Verification (e.g. 2400/2396 or equivalent)
  • Strong track record managing electrical teams or services in a construction or housing environment
  • Sound knowledge of compliance, legislation and BS 7671
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, performance management and IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Electrical Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our Electrical Team and contractors. You’ll be responsible for delivering installation, servicing, maintenance and compliance works to a high standard and in line with BS 7671 and electrical safety regulations.
You’ll play a key part in shaping service delivery, driving performance and improvement, and ensuring we continue to provide excellent outcomes for our tenants and residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of electricians and the electrical supervisor to ensure safe, high-quality service delivery
  • Monitor and report on team performance, budgets and contract standards
  • Develop and implement electrical policies, procedures and safety protocols
  • Oversee compliance with electrical regulations and manage risk assessments
  • Conduct inspections and post-repair audits to ensure quality and safety
  • Liaise with procurement and suppliers, ensuring value for money in materials and services
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional development and customer care
  • Act as a key contact for internal teams, suppliers, and external contractors
  • Provide leadership support across wider operational teams as required
