We’re looking for a professional and experienced Electrical mechanical Engineer to work as part of our Bodyshop Team in our fabrication workshop and paint shop facility at Carlisle Airport.
Duties of the role will include, assisting the Bodyshop in the car transporter refurbishment programme, removing old hydraulic systems, prepping the vehicles for paint, then fitting new hydraulic pipes. Re-sealing hydraulic rams, shotblasting wheels ready for paint. Maintaining our current fleet of car transporters. Hours: of work are on a rotational shift pattern of 06:00am – 14:30pm and 13.00pm – 21.00pm includes some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, ensuring your time is managed efficiently and jobs are prioritised correctly.
  • Assist with the car transporter refurbishment programme, removing old hydraulic systems, prepping the vehicles for paint, then fitting new hydraulic pipes.
  • Re-sealing hydraulic rams, shotblasting wheels ready for paint.
  • Installation of the Progressive Safe Systems
  • Maintain our current fleet of car transporter
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company requirements.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for company records.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and use PPE as needed
  • Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised
  • Ensure all company tools are used correctly and returned appropriately.
  • Assist other staff for training and development.
