ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Rosyth.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operation - keeping our bakery’s production equipment running smoothly and ensuring our 16 retail shops stay up and thriving. With all our products made onsite, there’s plenty of machinery under one roof to keep you challenged, and no two days are ever the same.
You’ll be part of a small but mighty team, playing a vital role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency that keeps our business moving.
You will carry out both reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of specialist machinery and systems, including ovens, conveyors, mixers, proofing systems, lighting, refrigeration and more!

IT IS DESIRABLE FOR YOU TO ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • +5 years’ bakery or food manufacturing experience
  • Previous involvement with site improvement projects
  • Previous experience in fault finding automated processes and systems e.g. PLCs, inverters and control panels

Responsibilities

Working as part of the engineering time to eliminate production downtime and breakdowns, including predominantly electrical work with the ability to help with some mechanical work as well

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical bakery and retail equipment
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize production and sales disruption
  • Support installation, commissioning and continuous improvement of new machinery
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, operational, production and sales teams to enhance performance and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
