REGION NCE > CUSTOMER PROJECT EXECUTION > COMMISSIONING PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The onshore execution team is part of NCE Installation & Commissioning, which includes the sub-departments of Installation and Commissioning. The Electrical Operations Safety Team is also integrated into Commissioning Project Management. Vestas Standards for Control of Hazardous Energy, including Wind Turbine Safety Rules/LOTO and Electrical Network Safety Rules, outline the minimum requirements for managing hazardous energy and ensuring safety through a safe system of work. Hazardous Energy encompasses electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, gravitational, and rotational forces that could cause injury or harm.
To further develop our Electrical Operations Safety Team and support our vision and growth plans, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Operations & Safety Lead Specialist or Engineer to join us.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of certified experience as an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • In-depth knowledge of Electrical Installations standard EN50110.
  • Advanced understanding of industrial systems, P&ID, and RDS-PP.
  • Experience in medium to large-scale projects, working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, and troubleshooting, specifically in offshore renewables.
  • Ability to interpret diverse HSE legislation at local and international levels, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities
  • Advocate for health, well-being, environment, and safety with a clear grasp of construction regulations, promoting a safety-first culture on site.
  • Uphold Vestas values of Simplicity, Collaboration, Accountability, and Passion, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Implement, enforce, and maintain Vestas Control of Hazardous Energy and Electrical Safety standards, including approved locks, tags, tools, and PPE.
  • Coordinate documentation efforts to ensure tasks comply with Vestas Safety Rules.
  • Represent the role of Energy Control Coordinator (ECC) by promoting the Hazardous Energy Program’s safety phrase: “Lockout before work & Test before touch.”
  • Guide project management with necessary training and instructions for tasks involving Hazardous Energies, ensuring only trained and qualified personnel perform such tasks.
  • Promote the growth and development of the Electrical Operations Team by supporting new initiatives and embracing change within the department and with stakeholders.
