FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a Engineeringsystems builder and installer of ATEX certified Exd and Exe explosion protected electrical equipment suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments. We are Certified Assembly Partners of Eaton MEDC Ltd and Manufacturer of our own Flameproof Exd enclosures. Being a small family run business, we pride ourselves on providing rapid response, engineering-led assembly, panel building, wiring services and inspections.
We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer and Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical panels from start to finish, ensuring that all components are accurately installed and functioning correctly. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as the ability to work with various tools and technologies. If you have a passion for electrical assembly and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in electrical assembly or a related field is essential.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical knowledge and electrical principles will be beneficial
  • Ability to use hand tools and machinery with proficiency
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods
  • Excellent eyesight, including depth perception and the ability to differentiate between colours
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently alone, as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret approved technical documents, such as technical drawings, schematics and diagrams required to complete tasks.
  • Determining availability of materials and tools, ahead of time
  • Assembling components and conduct thorough inspections of assembled units to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Wiring components to approved wiring schematics
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies or defects in materials.
  • Participate in New and existing product training
  • Very occasionally off-site fittings, assembly or maintenance work maybe required
  • Maintain regular stock takes, book stock-in and pack out-going goods ready for collection
  • Engrave labels and print terminal makers as and when required
  • Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
