SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager is responsible for the completion of Multi-Disciplinary Projects as Electrical Project Engineer for a Cement Manufacturing Plant.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management - provide estimates and justifications; execute conceptual designs; engage consultants; prepare contracts; vendor selection; monitoring construction; controlling costs; commissioning; and customer handover for capital and non-capital projects
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CAPEX automation projects and 5 year business planning
  • Make recommendations for improvement in the areas of Energy Conservation, Quality Control, and Plant Maintenance by analyzing data and diagnosing control problems
  • Plan automation projects and develop capital investment recommendations for the plant
  • Manage automation projects both capital and maintenance
  • Maintain and develop interface for TDM/TIS, PXP and PCS systems
  • Continually improve operations by analyzing problems and optimizing control systems
  • Build effective partnerships with other organizational units and shared services to maximize best practices to achieve operational excellence
  • Develops plans to eliminate repetitive control system failures
  • Participates in the Reliability Team’s activities
  • Conducts and maintains plant control system equipment condition assessments
  • Keeps current with permitting requirements and all applicable codes and standards
  • Ensures data is provided for new equipment/assets to be loaded into SAP w/ BOMs, nameplate data etc
  • Manages and updates plant drawing and technical document database related to the control system
  • Ensures assets transferred to asset ledger and functional locations assigned
  • Assists the Reliability Group in providing spare parts and PMR strategy for new equipment
  • Application of engineering procedures and processes
  • Work jointly with Maintenance Team to develop maintenance plans for plant control systems
  • Analyze efficiency - develop operating models and implementing steps for improvement as required
  • Coordinate with other team members to deliver seamless service to customer
