Overview:
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join Colliers Engineering & Design in Jacksonville, FL.
What You’ll Be Doing: The Electrical Engineer applies electrical engineering fundamentals for technical and design support of our project design teams. Electrical Engineers evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create/modify designs and drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design development.
  • Assist in the creation of specification packages.
  • Assist in verifying all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provisions.
  • Assist in development of project proposals and client presentations and attend client meetings.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations and document.
  • Assist in research related to material qualities, feasibility, restrictions, etc.
  • Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, and view obstacles as opportunities.

Qualifications:
Who We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering), and a minimum of 2 years’ electrical (architectural) design experience. Electrical PE license strongly preferred. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a passion for power, lighting and fire alarm design with proficient skills working in REVIT, CAD and AGI Lighting Software.
