For 30 years, IEG has been recognized as a leader in engineering for our outstanding work in collaboration with architects and other engineering disciplines.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with expert knowledge of systems and design practices. An Electrical Project Engineer serves as the engineer of record in their respective discipline for the projects assigned to them, works closely with the Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Department Leaders in setting standards and best practices, and provides final quality control of the mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction documents as required on their project and other projects. An Electrical Project Engineer shall be capable of performing the essential functions of both MEP Designers and Project Managers and will be working on projects in both capacities pending on department needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S in Mechanical Engineering
  • PE License (Electrical)
  • 5-7 years of related electrical design experience
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in REVIT

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the electrical engineer of record on assigned projects
  • Work closely with department leaders in refining design and modeling standards and best practices
  • Handle escalated meetings pertaining to their respective discipline
  • Provide final quality control on the electrical construction documents
  • Creating and editing electrical specifications based on project requirements
  • Collaborate with the department leaders in the mentorship and teaching of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Designers and Project Managers
  • Act as primary backup for the Electrical Department Leaders for the following:
  • Conducting department meetings
  • Final quality control
  • Production resource allocation and collaboration with other Department Leaders
  • Defining mechanical/electrical/plumbing scope on new project opportunities
