The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
· planning and organizing production schedules
· assessing project and resources requirements
· reviewing technical documents, estimating, bid preparation, negotiating and agreeing timescales with clients and managers
· determining quality control standards, promoting the quality management system and assisting with audits
· carry out site visits, for tendering and monitoring purposes
· selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
· liaising with customers and staff at all levels
· compiling Method statements and Risk Assessments
· maintaining and promoting good health, safety and environmental practices - ensuring always remain compliant with relevant legislation
· promoting and managing discipline within the workforce
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
This position is open to graduates from any degree discipline; however, a good engineering background is required. Knowledge of manufacturing of electrical and mechanical systems, parts and installations is essential. Marine knowledge is desirable.

Normal hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 0730 to 1615 and Friday: 0730 to 1300.
You will have:
-a recognised qualified trade, training and qualifications applicable to an mechanical/ electrical fitter -previous site/installations experience
-flexibility with regards to working overtime and travel
-experience of working on sites where CDM Regulations apply and/or experience of working in marine environment is desirable but not essential
Please note: due to the location of our Plymouth business unit and sites we access you will need to go through a security clearance process. Site specific training for restricted areas will be provided.
