Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Saltworks is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, plant builds, or commissioning. If you’re analytical, detail-oriented, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll lead the electrical scope of projects from initial design through to commissioning. With full responsibility for planning, budgeting, and execution, this hands-on role is an opportunity to grow into a project leader while making a real difference in advancing sustainable technologies.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Lead the electrical scope of industrial water treatment projects.
  • Collaborate with design, production, supply chain, and QA teams to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Prepare work packages, installation instructions, and materials ahead of production schedules.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to specify and procure components.
  • Develop and execute commissioning and testing plans both in-house and onsite.
  • Contribute to repeatable design workflows and support innovation, pilot projects, and new product development.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and strong internal relationships.
  • Provide hands-on support during commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites for start-up and commissioning.
  • Grow into a subject matter expert while sharpening your technical and project leadership skills.
