ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR

Sid Grabell Contracting is growing, and we’re adding an electrical Project Manager / Estimator to our team. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, results-driven, and excels at building trust-based relationships. Applicants should be a licensed electrician who has project management and estimating experience.
SGC has built a reputation for making it happen, delivering high performance solutions for clients across multiple sectors including steel, food, oil & gas, waste management and fabrication industries. We specialize in heavy industrial, high voltage, automation and civil power distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician with 5+ years’ experience
· Experience with heavy industrial and construction is preferred
· Proven experience as a project manager / estimator
· In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles
· In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and Ontario Electrical Safety Code
· Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Construction Regulations and Health and Safety Act
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Excellent organization, time-management and multitasking skills
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
· Leadership skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers

· Estimate project costs including labour, equipment and materials.
· Negotiate pricing with vendors
· Plan material, labour and equipment requirements for each job
· Plan, assign, direct and monitor on site work
· Provide clear direction and support to field staff assigned to projects
· Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Ontario Construction Regulations and Health & Safety standards
· Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle
