The Electrical Project Manager will oversee commercial electrical projects from preconstruction to finish. The PM will be responsible for the project’s budget, scheduling, contract documents, safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction. The PM will also be responsible for managing all subcontractors on-site as well as directing the Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, inspection reports, specifications, etc.
  • Supervise trade employees and/or other subcontractors as required
  • Assemble bid packets and select vendors for specific projects
  • Create, submit, and manage submittals throughout the entire project
  • Prepare, organize, and manage material buyouts
  • Negotiate, track, and approve change orders in a timely manner
  • Enforce and supervise enforcement of site specific and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Train and Develop assigned staff
  • Manage and supervise Superintendent, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Coordinate with Superintendent to ensure project completion to specifications
  • Monitor project costs and forecast future project costs
  • Act as a liason between trades and other departments
  • Provide field employees with necessary support to allow the project to be completed on time and on budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent hands-on project experience
  • Knowledge of NEC code requirements and safety guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and drawings
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, takeoffs, change orders, and contracts
  • Strong client relations skills are a must to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Effective problem-solving skills, and ability to make time sensitive decisions
