We are currently looking for a Electrical Project Manager to join our operations team.Location – London Hours – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm
Role Overview:Reporting into the Contracts Manager as an Electrical Project Manager at Malcolm Building Services you will play a critical role in managing the mechanical installation works to primarily new build residential projects. You will ensure that projects are completed within budget, compliant to all relevant British Standards and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project teams to understand project specifications, programme and other requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage the financial budget set to complete the works and assist the QS with monthly valuations
- Interpret the contract SoW prepare variation costs and substantiate accordingly
- Ensure programme dates are achieved Be client facing and manage clients expectations
- Attend progress meetings with other trades and main contractor
- Ability to drive self delivery projects with in house labour paid on a price work basis, snag works and ensure supervisors are releasing payment for snag free completed works
- Take off installation drawings and produce materials schedules to enable buying team to get best price
- Scrutinise consultants design intent or in house design prior to works commencing on site to ensure information is correct and works are completed right first time
- Ensure supervisors are planning labour and materials schedules in a without wastage and in accordance with the construction programme.
- Lead and motivate supervisors working under your direction and be able to build a team of management staff and installers
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, designers, and other technical staff.
- Compile RAMS and monitor RAMS content is being adhered to and ensure works are completed safely and compliant to the company H&S policy
- Ensure works are QA inspected as works progress
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
HNC or similar or have worked your way up for the tools back ground holding NVQ 3/4
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing RC frame new build residential projects via a price work self delivery business model
- SMSTS & 1st Aid Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes. Hold Black Managers Card
- Proficient in using Fieldview, Bluebeam or Similar and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
