JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector to oversee and verify the quality of electrical installations on industrial or large-scale commercial construction projects across Ireland. The QA Inspector ensures that all electrical work is executed in compliance with project specifications, national regulations (including I.S. 10101), and international quality standards. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, code-compliant, and high-quality electrical systems for clients in sectors such as data centres, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified Electrician with National Craft Certificate or equivalent; additional diploma or qualification in Electrical Engineering or Quality is advantageous.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in electrical QA/QC roles on industrial or large commercial projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish electrical standards (I.S. 10101), industry best practices, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience with electrical testing procedures and documentation control.
  • Strong attention to detail and familiarity with quality control systems and procedures (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Competent in reading technical drawings, cable schedules, and QA checklists.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify the quality of electrical installations including containment systems, cabling, terminations, earthing/bonding, panels, and instrumentation wiring.
  • Conduct walkdowns, audits, and inspections at various stages of installation (
  • Review and ensure compliance with I.S. 10101 (National Rules for Electrical Installations) and project specifications.
  • Monitor testing and commissioning activities (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, RCD testing, loop impedance).
  • Check and sign off on installation records, test sheets, redline/as-built drawings, and handover packs.
  • Liaise with electrical supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to address non-conformances or quality issues.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Safe Electric and HSA (Health and Safety Authority) regulations.
  • Participate in quality control meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support documentation for FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), and client inspections.
