As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial delivery of high-voltage electrical projects, particularly in areas such as substations, switchgear installations, and cable works. Based in Glasgow, you’ll focus on cost control, contract administration, valuations, and financial management to ensure projects are delivered cost-effectively.

ELECTRICAL QUANTITY SURVEYOR SKILLS:

  • Degree in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying (or similar).
  • A technical background as an Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, or Electrical Engineer is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role or work placement is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of contract conditions.
  • Excellent communication, record-keeping, and organisational abilities.
  • A clear understanding of contract obligations and claims management.
  • Ability to formulate and present comprehensive claims covering dayworks, unit rate work, and contract variations.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify material or labour escalations.
