Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Safety Codes Officers – Group A or a Journeyman Electrician with an Electrical Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification. This is an employee position with competitive wage and benefits provided.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Safety Codes Council “Certificate of Competency” Group A in the Electrical Discipline or a Journeyman Electrician with an Electrical Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Safety Courses – First Aid / CSTS / H2S Alive
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and be self-motivated
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment / discretion
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently
  • Superior interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to communicate terminology that can be comprehended by the recipient, regardless of their level of industry knowledge
  • Ability to use computers
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The Electrical Safety Codes Officer must maintain certification in accordance with the requirements of the Safety Codes Act and regulations pursuant to the Act.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing plans and documents, conducting site inspections across Alberta, and possibly other parts of Canada, while providing technical advice and knowledge.
