JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of Electrical Sales Coordinator would be responsible for prospecting new clients, creating proposals and maintaining customer relationships. Ensuring a seamless client experience.

  • Works under the direction of the Director of Business Development.
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities for electrical control panels, installations & tech services including OEMs, system integrators, and end-users.
  • Develops sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of electrical panel components, control systems, UL standards, and industry trends.
  • Maintains up-to-date customer and opportunity information in CRM software.
  • Tracks sales pipeline and provides regular updates to leadership on forecasts and progress.
  • Ensures that marketing materials (including hand-outs, website, social media pages, trade show collateral, etc.) are up to date. Coordinates with third-party consultants when necessary.
  • Gathers and processes project details accurately and works with the team to create proposals for panel builds & electrical field work.
  • Partners with customers to address project changes or concerns.
  • Partners with suppliers to encourage mutually healthy relationships.
  • Research, schedule, and attend tradeshows that would be beneficial to developing new electrical client relationships.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of electrical installations, control panels, components, and industrial automation systems (VFDs, PLCs, relays, breakers, transformers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with UL508A standards and other relevant codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to sell technical products or solutions to B2B customers.
  • Skilled in identifying customer needs and matching them to appropriate solutions.
  • Confident negotiating pricing, terms, and project scope.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively toward a goal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the industrial automation, electrical panel manufacturing, OEM equipment, or control systems industry.
  • Direct involvement with electrical control panels, including understanding of components like PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, breakers, and terminal blocks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to local day travel.
