ELECTRICAL SERVICE ENGINEER – ENGINEERING MACHINERY (FIELD & WORKSHOP BASED)

Salary: £42,000 per year + Overtime + Bonus Scheme
Location: Stockport (covering the North West with some national travel)
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join a growing team that specialises in the supply, installation, and servicing of a wide range of engineering machinery, including bandsaws, circular saws, drilling machines, fabrication equipment, and material handling systems.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

This is a hands-on position working on a variety of machinery from multiple manufacturers across different industries. You will work both individually and as part of a wider team of engineers, covering both workshop-based repairs in Stockport and on-site servicing across the North West, with occasional national travel (typically a couple of nights away per month).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out repairs, servicing, installations, upgrades, and retrofitting on a wide range of engineering machinery.
  • Work on various makes and models of machines, including new and used equipment.
  • Repair services for all machine tools, both conventional and CNC
  • Services provided by the company CNC Retrofitting, Digital Readouts (DRO) installation Machine, Tool Build Machine & Tool Refurbishment Machine Tool Relocation & Removal Machine Tool Sales Panel (presumably control panel) service
  • Support customers both on-site and remotely, providing a high level of technical service.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete mechanical repairs where required.
  • Collaborate with other engineers as well as work independently on customer sites.
  • Travel mainly within the North West, with some national coverage.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety guidelines.
