We are very excited to present an opportunity to join our team as a new Service Project Manager! This position serves a vital purpose for our company. Service Project Managers take care of many job responsibilities to help serve our customers and support our technicians at the management level. They also ensure that quality of service is our #1 priority.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Electrician license, preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • An expectation of a management position is to work on a salaried compensation basis. Therefore, typical weeks will consist of somewhere between 40-50 hours of work to get the needed tasks completed. More time, both during the week and on weekends, may occasionally be required to complete the needed tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple small projects at a time ranging in duration from 1 hour to 2-3 weeks.
  • Work closely with peers on the management team and site technicians to communicate and strategize upcoming needs for manpower, materials, or other items.
  • Work closely with peers on the management team, customers/GCs and lead technicians on site to maintain the job schedule.
  • Follow up in a timely manner with customer requests: phone calls, emails, etc. The general expectation is that any follow up with a customer will happen as soon as possible but not exceeding 24 hrs.
  • Schedule upcoming and ongoing work. The schedule changes often for service, so you will need to be able to shift things around on a regular basis.
  • Prepare material lists for projects and jobs you are working on.
  • Assist with invoicing at least once per week. This includes a review of proposals, job status, status of approved extra work, etc.
  • Review budget reports with the service management team and make adjustments, if needed, based on these discussions. This information must be kept confidential.
  • Assist with overall work order tracking as needed, working actively with field technicians to make sure they are submitting service orders on a timely basis.
  • Write multiple proposals over the course of a week and follow up on proposals sent to see if the customer would like to get scheduled.
  • Manage permits, inspections, underground locates and other items needed to perform specific projects.
  • Manage job costs and track vendor invoices against quotes for specific materials.
  • Coordinate needed equipment for projects with technicians, shop manager, etc. (i.e. trencher, skid steer, mini-excavator).
  • Work with other Service Managers to approve or deny time off requests from field technicians.
