Description

GammaTech Engineering (GTE) is looking for an Electrical Physics-Based Simulation Engineer with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us.

POSITION SUMMARY

You would join our System-Level Simulation team, a group with nearly 20 years of experience in developing solutions for multi-physics system applications. In this role, you would contribute to consulting projects for major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers in the transportation industry.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong theoretical background and interest in electrical/electrified powertrain technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with GT-SUITE (or other similar multi-physics system simulation tools) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and proven Python experience are a plus.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English, with strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Model and simulate innovative powertrain and energy systems using GT-SUITE, with a primary focus on batteries, e-drives, and power electronics.
  • Develop and adapt innovative CAE methodologies to meet customer requirements, devising alternative design solutions for complex problems.
  • Analyze simulation results and provide expertise on the observed physical phenomena.
  • Document technical findings and workflows by creating high-quality reports, procedures, and training materials
  • Interact with colleagues on multi-disciplinary projects to achieve comprehensive solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, fostering positive and cooperative relationships.
