Description

The position is essentially office and site-based reporting to the Project Manager on daily basis when deployed On-Site and weekly basis when positioned at Office.

SKILLS

  1. Proficiency in spoken and written English, particularly in professional email communication.
  2. Ability to interpret control schemes and troubleshoot electrical power, control, and protection circuits.
  3. Knowledge in testing methods of Switchboard components in accordance with international standards such as IEC or ANSI.
  4. Competence in operating sophisticated testing equipment.
  5. Familiarity with various protection relay and VFDs software applications.
  6. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  7. Experience in using AutoCAD Electrical software.
  8. Understanding of LV and MV VFDs and soft starters is advantageous.
  9. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership of projects is essential.
  10. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced office environment as an effective team player.
  11. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  12. A professional and approachable demeanor, capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

OFFICE BASED RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist in the preparation of technical documents, including General Arrangement (GA), Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantity (BOQ), Technical Proposal (TP), Method Statement (MS), etc.
  2. Assist in the preparation of technical offers and technical submissions for clients.
  3. Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations, technical documentations, item availability and oversee tracking until delivery to the office.
  4. Conduct quarterly testing of company equipment and kits, maintaining accurate internal test records.
  5. Ensure all equipment details remain up to date and coordinate with vendors for calibration when required.

SITE DUTIES

  1. Supervise the installation of switchgear, VFDs, and soft starters
  2. Perform testing on LV and MV breakers, protection relays, transformers, and switchboards at designated sites.
  3. Conduct testing and commissioning activities for VFDs and soft starters.
  4. Troubleshooting of VFDs and Switchgear.
  5. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and obtain the necessary training for equipment operation.
  6. Prepare and submit daily reports to clients, along with weekly service reports or a final report before demobilization.
  7. Coordinate with OEM, service partners, factor or after-sales/service departments for technical assistance.
  8. Provide feedback to OEMs regarding quality issues or suggested improvements based on site observations.
  9. Maintain a commitment to zero lost-time accidents.
