Job description: SUMMARY Have experience in Supervising commercial projects from the ground up to completion, commissioning, and punch list. Have a good track record on building work with General Contractors. Have a good track record on building work on schedule and within budget. Have good communication skills, and be proficient on using a laptop computer, email, Excel and Word. Have the ability to do electrical installation layouts by hand or electronically. Performs supervisory responsibilities for managing all aspects of electrical installations during construction of a project from the ground up. Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises electrical crews through all aspects of construction, directing Foreman, Leadman, Journeyman electricians, and helpers engaged in the projects new installation, maintenance, electrical repairs, and warranty items. Participates along with Foremen and Project Manager in tracking the projects, labor projections and material costs required for a successful project, maintains job records as-builts and submits reports, initiates requisition for supplies, tools, and equipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Enforces safety regulations, rules and working conditions. · Collect and review daily reports / Southwest & General Contractors · Review Jobsite cleanliness · Assure your crews maintain a Clean and organized Connex and Material staging areas · Ensure that project is built to requirements and specifications established by construction documents and per current NEC · Implement all QA/QC documents · Complete and review with employee performance evaluations as required, review with Foreman and submit to the Business unit leader. · Manage and Enter time sheets for employees per cost codes (as needed) · Order Materials in a timely manner (as needed) · Review and correct Look-aheads submitted by the Foreman working under them, · Identify projects that need to add or reduce manpower. · Supervise and Evaluate project foreman · Monitor quality & productivity of craft labor · Provide one on one training as needed for both foreman and craft labor as needed · Assist foreman in dealing with General Contractors as needed · Move foreman and manpower as needed between jobs · Communicate with PMs prior to moving manpower on any job · Support Area Superintendents and Labor and Training Superintendent as needed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · TDLR Electrical Journeyman License minimum · OSHA 30 certified minimum or willing and able to obtain it within 30 days of employment. · 10+ years of related experience including being part of large-scale projects.
