SUMMARY

An electrical supervisor is needed to oversee a team of engineers completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports(EICRs) and remedial works . The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of the work, carrying out inspections , quality audits and H&S.

Experience in electrical testing and a strong understanding of relevant regulations are essential. Here’s a more detailed breakdown: Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Electrical Engineers: The supervisor will oversee a team of electricians, ensuring they adhere to safety standards, quality control procedures.
  • Quality Control: The supervisor will need to check the work of the engineers, ensuring it meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Team Coordination: This includes scheduling your own works when required, assigning tasks, and coordinating with office / clients and engineers.
  • Compliance and Safety: The supervisor will ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations, including BS7671, the IET Wiring Regulations and other statuary and non statuary guidance and regulations
  • Record Keeping: They will maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and any any follow up visits required.
  • Being registered as the Qualifying Supervisor for the Company and completing any assessments required by the NICEIC Skills required for this job role.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within the electrical industry is essential.
  • NICEIC Accreditation: Experience with NICEIC standards and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical systems, testing procedures, and relevant regulations is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are needed to manage the team, liaise with clients, and coordinate with other trades.
  • Organizational Skills: The supervisor must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks , deadlines and manage there own time efficiently and effectively
  • Qualifications
  • Level 3 NVQ or Certificate Level of Qualification. Fully qualified Electrician, with a JIB / ECS Gold card
  • AM2.
  • 18th edition BS7671
  • C&G 2391 full test & inspection or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a supervisory role

Location: The job is based in the Wigan for office specific tasks however the site locations will vary depending on the company/clients and its contracts and when not in the office the role will include traveling to sites to complete audits inspections etc,.
