Description
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring the serviceability of all electrical equipment and systems under his department. The supervisor shall also be responsible for leading, managing and supervising a team of maintenance personnel to carry out preventive/corrective maintenance works as well as new installation works on various types of electrical installations within the assigned facilities and systems to ensure that all electrical systems are in immaculate condition for a safe and seamless operation. Responsible for effective and proper use of all resources and manpower with all aspects associated to the work. ACCOUNTABILITIES: To plan, schedule, assign and supervise personnel in his custodial care for the execution of maintenance and improvement works in accordance to manufacturer and statutory requirements. To plan and supervise day to day maintenance activities to ensure completion within specified time frame. To conduct daily briefing of staff with attendance recording. To supervise the work methods and processes so as to ensure it is safe, efficient and the output of work is of high standards. To generate daily/weekly management reports for the assets availability as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Accountable for all spare withdrawal from store and proper usage on site. To ensure availability of all required essential spare at all times. Accountable for planning and conducting in-house technical, safety trainings and briefings to personnel under his supervision. Responsible for proper inspection of all assets issued to the department which includes common tools, personal tools, equipment, communication equipment and vehicles etc. To conduct audit inspections of systems and infrastructures in HIA/DIA and ensure quality standards and safety are met as per the recommended practices. To raise requisitions for spares and services as and when required. To plan, assign and supervise daily activities such as preventive maintenance schedules, shift duty roster and improvements works. Maintain records of all works, timesheets, attendance, leave and training records. To respond and attend to emergency calls after office hours and during the weekends. To carry out inspection of completed works by external vendors and to ensure all specifications and regulatory requirements are met. To perform shift work. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Qualifications and Experience: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience. OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience Preferred Valid Qatar Driving License. Job Specific Skills: Experience in power systems operation and maintenance is a must Experience in HV/MV/LV Electrical Operation and Maintenance Electrical Protection/SCADA Operational Exposure Experience in Power Plant Operation and Maintenance Experience in Fire Life and Safety Systems Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low voltage electrical systems. Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical systems. Ability to prepare simple incident/progress reports. To be able to carry out fault finding on all types of electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret all types of technical drawings, layouts and as-built drawings. Awareness of airport operational restraints. Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components. Well versed with the electrical rules and regulations. . Able to work on shift pattern and after office hours for any emergency response. Knowledge of Kahramaa electrical rules and regulations.
