Description

LOCATION:

South of England — covering Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey,, and the Isle of Wight. Key service areas include Portsmouth, Southampton, Woking, Reading, Crawley, and Horsham.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Qualified Electrical Supervisor to take on a mobile regional role, carrying out varied work across the South of England. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and supervisory experience, looking to progress their career in a supportive and professional environment.
You will play a key role in validating electrical certification, supervising electricians and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance across a wide range of properties, including universities, social housing, council buildings, office buildings, and leisure accommodation.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (essential)
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Inspecting & Testing (essential)
  • 18th Edition (essential)
  • AM2 qualification (advantage)
  • CSCS card (advantage)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check and Security Clearance required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven supervisory experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical installation, inspection, and testing
  • Knowledge of building regulations and standards relevant to electrical works
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with IEE Wiring Regulations and British Standards.
  • Accurately record verification results on certificates and inspection reports.
  • Supervise employed staff and subcontractors, ensuring competence and safe practices.
  • Provide technical guidance on design, construction, maintenance, and testing of electrical installations.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults within your field of expertise.
  • Respond efficiently to emergencies and participate in an on-call rota (Out of Hours).
  • Maintain accurate records of works, including photographic evidence where necessary.
  • Support other trades in delivering a professional, safe maintenance service.
