Description

SUMMARY

Knowledgeable in the application and utilization of standard practices and procedures used in the machine tool trade. Lead and follow-up of automated assembly and weld systems from onset to installation at the customer’s facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Advises and supports Electrician / Electrician Leaders in planning of electrical and Installation of equipment and fixtures.
Inspects electrical and fixtures for conformance to company and/or customer specifications.
Prepares electrical schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet milestone schedules.
Recommends measures to improve build methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Estimates and inspects materials.
Confers with other leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Reviews system layouts and orders non-BOM material in PLM.
Works with and/or trains electrical leaders/electricians in PLM.
Material Follow-up, if necessary.
Attends team meetings or sends designee (Job Leader)
Assigns job leaders / Electricians to job tasks.
Reviews daily time sheets and makes sure that work is charged to the appropriate job order numbers.
Verifies with Electrical Leader that changes are marked up in the drawing set and conveyed back to the controls design with proper quality form.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate degree from a college or university; at minimum 10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Local travel to UTEC facilities and customer/supplier sites for meetings or support is occasionally required.
Travel requirements may vary based on project assignments and department workloads.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,100.78 - $75,992.34 per year
