Required General Requirements High school diploma or GED Basic computer literacy; familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite Ability to follow and document work via digital work instructions Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed Willingness to travel for short and extended trips (up to 10%) Technical Skills Ability to distinguish between wire colors General understanding of electronic components, electronics design, and manufacturing Willingness to learn full harness fabrication and assembly processes Physical & Work Environment Requirements Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted Capable of bending, stooping, crawling, and maneuvering in tight spaces Ability to perform all job functions safely and professionally Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Soft Skills & Team Fit Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team Professional, personable demeanor Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and techniques Creative, open-minded, and enjoys problem-solving Takes pride in building clean, organized, high-quality parts and assemblies Positive attitude and commitment to team culture Experience & Leadership 5+ years of experience in harness fabrication or related work Track record of leading projects or initiatives in a production environment Experienced in training higher-level technicians Able to implement key ideas and process improvements that drive company growth An Associate’s or higher technical degree is a bonus Advanced Technical Mastery Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical systems, isolating faults, and performing component-level repairs Ability to self-inspect work in applicable wiring areas Operates and interprets acceptance tests for electrical systems Collaborates with Engineering to define and improve digital work instructions Experienced in process and procedure development Familiar with Toyota Production System, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies Certifications & Regulatory Knowledge IPC-A-620 and/or IPC-J-STD-001 certifications are a strong plus Knowledge of FAA certification standards is a plus Background in electrical systems quality inspection is highly valued Desired Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $32-$37/hour.
