Company Overview Joby Flight Research designs, develops, and flight-tests novel aircraft using a software-first autonomy approach. We build and deploy autonomy, perception, planning, and radar systems across conventional, electric, and hydrogen-electric aircraft in both CTOL and VTOL configurations. Overview Joby is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Harness Manufacturing Technician who will produce harnesses for the Flight Research Autonomous platform, located in Concord, CA. They will coordinate Electrical Engineering and Flight Test Maintenance Teams to ensure products are made to specialization. Responsibilities Responsibilities Required High school diploma or GED Basic computer literacy; familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite Ability to follow and document work via digital work instructions Willingness to travel for short and extended trips (up to 10%) Ability to distinguish between wire colors General understanding of electronic components, electronics design, and manufacturing Willingness to learn full harness fabrication and assembly processes Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and techniques Creative, open-minded, and enjoys problem-solving Ability to read wire harness drawings and spreadsheet documents Skill using standard wire manufacturing tools such as crimpers, strippers, snips, soldering irons, wire lace Skill manufacturing harness that include splices, shielding, termination into mil-spec connectors Desired 5+ years of experience in harness fabrication or related work Experience working on aircraft A&P IA Experience with integration of harness on aircraft Experience with sensor wiring, including RTD, CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, RS-422 An Associate’s or higher technical degree is a bonus IPC-A-620 and/or IPC-J-STD-001 certifications are a strong plus Knowledge of FAA certification standards is a plus Background in electrical systems quality inspection is highly valued Additional Information Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $36-$52/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
