JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining and repairing precision high-speed manufacturing equipment, ensuring machines operate according to quality, safety, and production standards. This is a 3rd shift position paying $46.14 an hour with a $5000.00 bonus

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Completion of an approved apprenticeship program or a trade school graduate with a minimum of 5 years of related electrical/electronic experience. Equivalent U.S. military training and experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work any of 3 shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Must pass a sample shop test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience with cigarette high-speed manufacturing, packing, robotic material handling, and conveying systems.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Install electrical service and control devices according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Maintain facility power distribution systems, including medium voltage switchgears, generators, transformers, buss ducts, and panelboards.
  • Install, test, maintain, diagnose, and correct issues in electrical, electromechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems associated with cigarette manufacturing equipment (e.g., high-speed automation, instrumentation, control wiring, microprocessor controls, PLC controls, and communication networks such as SLC500, TI, ControlLogic, CompactLogic, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, and TwinCat control systems).
  • Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and ladder logic.
  • Follow company safety practices and guidelines.
