Description

Overview Opex Energy is looking to recruit an Electrical Technical Field Advisor (TFA) – LV & MV Systems to support the commissioning and start-up activities of Ostroleka (Poland) Combined Cycle Power Plant. The successful candidate will provide on-site technical expertise for the installation verification, testing, energization, commissioning, troubleshooting, and start-up of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems. The position requires close collaboration with Construction, Commissioning, Operations, OEM representatives, and Client personnel to ensure that electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements and manufacturer recommendations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the commissioning of LV and MV electrical systems. Verify the installation and readiness of electrical equipment prior to energization. Perform inspection and functional testing of electrical systems. Coordinate electrical commissioning activities with Construction, Mechanical and I&C teams. Support the energization of electrical systems and equipment. Execute commissioning procedures and manufacturer's recommended tests. Troubleshoot electrical faults during commissioning and start-up. Support first energization, first operation, and plant start-up activities. Coordinate activities with OEM representatives and subcontractors. Verify compliance with electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams and project documentation. Ensure all commissioning activities are performed in accordance with project safety procedures and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements. Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation. Scope of Responsibility The Electrical TFA will provide technical support for commissioning activities associated with: Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear Motor Control Centres (MCC) Power and Distribution Transformers UPS Systems Battery Chargers and Battery Banks AC/DC Distribution Systems Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Soft Starters Protection Relays Generator Auxiliary Electrical Systems Electrical Motors (LV & MV) Cable Testing and Verification Earthing and Grounding Systems Required Profile We are looking for professionals with proven experience in: Commissioning and start-up of LV and MV electrical systems. Combined Cycle Power Plants, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or other large industrial facilities. Electrical testing and commissioning. Electrical troubleshooting during commissioning. Electrical equipment energization. Functional testing of electrical systems. Interpretation of electrical drawings and single-line diagrams. Coordination with multidisciplinary commissioning teams. Interface with OEM representatives. Safe execution of electrical commissioning activities. Languages English: Professional working proficiency (mandatory). Polish: will be considered an advantage.
