Description
Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design. Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs. Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components. Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems. Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews. Acts as a resource and mentor for more junior colleagues. Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems (Semi-conductor/Automotive/Aerospace), Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation. Proficient in Electrical/Electronic Circuit concept design & development with safety interlocks & various circuit analyses. (Circuit analyses include De-rating & Stress analysis, Power analysis & Logic compatibility analysis etc.) Proficient in selecting Electrical/Electronic OEM components. Expert level knowledge of Engineering change management & problem-solving skills Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, Cadence or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation. Familiar with standards like - UL 508, IEC 60947, SEMI S22, NFPA79. Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain. Experience in capital equipment or similar (for e.g., Semiconductor, Process industries, medical instrumentation, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project. Experience in setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices. Good Communication skills and able to mentor junior engineers.
