SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Systems or AM2 certification.
  • 17th and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Competence with PDA devices and digital reporting.
  • Experience Required
  • Proven management experience.
  • Background in social housing electrical installations and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with CRM or management systems.
  • Clean UK driving license and DBS check required.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

As an Electrical Technical Manager, you will oversee CCS’s Domestic Electrical Division, managing up to 20 electricians and subcontractors to deliver electrical services across the south of England. Responsibilities include EICR, remedial work, re-wiring, and the installation of smoke alarms, CO alarms, and renewable energy solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance, quality, and safety across all Electrical Department projects.
  • Maintain forecasted workflow and target revenue for the Electrical Department.
  • Support continuous education and skill development for all staff members.
  • Foster CCS’s quality standards, both within the team and with customers.
  • Oversee safety protocols, operational compliance, and regulatory adherence.
  • Provide accurate weekly reporting to the Head of Heating & Electrical.
  • Supervise and improve performance of supervisors, surveyors, and quality control engineers.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and briefings to maintain team alignment and engagement.
  • Manage client escalations, technical issues, cost control, and invoicing.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, certification, and documentation for all projects.
  • Deliver and lead Tool Box Talks (TBT) monthly for all electrical engineers and supervisors.
