Has knowledge of electrical and electronic components, wiring practices as described by the National Electrical Code. Can trouble-shoot electrical problems on equipment while practicing electrical safety at all times. Essential Responsibilities: * Use engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and all other relative documents to assemble HVAC units/sub-assemblies. * Ability to use an assortment of hand/power/testing tools. * Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. * Complete unit paperwork and QC checklist. * Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor. * Install and wire a variety of electrical components. * Determine proper wiring practice and installation.   * May be required to assemble and wire electrical components, controls, and panels for electrical equipment for engineering, esp. prototypes * May be required to test components and circuitry with various gauges, meters, and testing equipment. * Practice electrical safety at all times. * Maintenance and safeguarding of personal protective equipment. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. * Stopping unsafe acts. * Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. * Assist Electrical Engineer as required to complete wiring diagrams for production jobs scheduled. * Assist production techs with electrical problems on jobs, when required. Qualifications/Skills: * Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent * Capable of using common hand tools, gauges, multimeters and hand-operated power tools. * Capable of lifting 50 lbs without the use of lifting equipment. * Prefer electrical wiring and testing experience. Safety/Physical requirements:  * Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations. * Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training. * Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers. * Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management. * Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner. * Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner. * Ability to lift 50 lbs.  * Requires bending, stooping and standing.  * Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.  (Overtime may extend time period.)  * Good visual and spatial perception.  * Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc. Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required by the employee for this job.
