Description

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for building electrical panels, wiring grinding machines, and servicing both electrical and mechanical components in the field. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, and a customer-focused mindset.
Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical Certificate or 2 years of technical training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, with a stable work history over the last 5 years.
  • Proficient with AC/DC servo systems, VSD drives, CNC controls, PLC systems, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use PCs for system diagnostics and calibration.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Good credit history required.
Responsibilities
  • Build and wire electrical panels as per engineering designs.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate electrical components using PLCs and PCs.
  • Provide technical support, preventative maintenance, and operator training for grinding equipment.
  • Diagnose control issues, system alarms, and perform machine alignments and rebuilds.
  • Read and interpret ladder logic, wiring schematics, and electrical blueprints.
  • Support the Engineering Department during equipment installations.
  • Travel to customer sites for occasional overnight service calls.
  • Assist with product demonstrations and promote company services when necessary.
  • Operate overhead cranes and company vehicles as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at both company and customer sites.
