Honda Racing Corporation, a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented Electrical Technician to join its Racing Program in Santa Clarita, California (North Los Angeles County).
Main responsibility is the manufacture of looms, and wiring harnesses for, in-house test equipment, engine ancillaries and on vehicle applications.
Requirements:
1+ years of Motorsports wiring experience
Crimp tools, stripping, sleeving, boots, etc.
Reading wiring schematics and layout diagrams
2+ years of Experience with Electrical-Mechanical assemblies
PCBs + enclosures + hardware
Harnesses + enclosures
Knowledge of Automative/Motorsports sensors/hardware
Sensors on the car and their purpose
Familiar with various types of hardware from a connection standpoint
Analogue input vs digital input
Knowledge of Communication wiring
CAN bus topology, RS232, Ethernet
Build PCB board, soldering through hole and surface mount
Use of the relevant harness production tools and test equipment.
An understanding of automotive components such as ignition systems and ECUs and detailed knowledge of vehicle wiring.
Familiarity with use of various wiring tools, meters and testers.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and drawing.
PC proficient.
Must have the ability to effectively interface with various personality types.
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work in team environment.
