Role: Electrical Technician
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £45-55k
The Role:

Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for an Electrician Technician on behalf of our client for a permanent role in Hemel Hempstead. The role will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on a major oil terminal. The primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical components related to oil storage, pumping, and distribution systems and will requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components at the oil terminal.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential electrical problems.
  • Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring electrical problems.
  • Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
  • Perform routine checks on electrical instruments and gauges to maintain accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Document equipment specifications, serial numbers, and calibration data.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall terminal functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and challenges.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification / completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry.
  • Electrical Installation - TIE16 Installing cables in an Intrinsically Safe system and TIE17 (Ex) Install, Gland and Terminate Power Cables
  • Electrical Maintenance - TEM10 Hazardous area inspection of electrical equipment
  • CompEx EX01-04 Qualification
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including exposure to heights and confined spaces.
