KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in demanding technology, quality, and safety environments.
  • Assembly of prototype circuit boards, soldering (IPC-A-610, FSD5115), and cable crimping (IPC-A-620).
  • Accreditation in electrical work (AL, BB1, BB2) is favorable but not essential.
  • Experience with navigation sensors and systems, including configuration and acceptance testing.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and maintaining written instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, manage own timescales, and follow management instructions.
  • Systematic, methodical, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Flexible for travel to local or overseas sites if required.
  • The successful candidate will be a Swedish citizen deemed eligible for Swedish security clearance

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our dynamic Production Workshop team as an Electrical Technician! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of assembling, manufacturing, maintaining, and testing cutting-edge JFD Sweden products. You’ll work closely with our Workshop Manager, Production Manager, and Team Leads to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards and adhere to all QA processes. If you’re passionate about precision and innovation, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and assemble electrical subassemblies (junction boxes, motor controller enclosures, cabling, etc.).
  • Perform soldering tasks (experience required, certification desirable).
  • Assemble prototype circuit boards and crimp cables.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and checks before and after sea tests.
  • Assist at Harbour and Sea Acceptance Tests.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workspace, including tools and assets.
  • Ensure high-quality assembly, testing, and installation work.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing in accordance with AITP, including certification and writing deviation reports.
  • Work safely and reliably at all times.
  • Effectively manage workload to meet schedules and customer requirements, while communicating and adapting to changing circumstances.
