Location: Pottstown, PA – Traveling Position
Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, wiring diagrams, and electrical safety standards. This role involves hands-on work across diverse job sites and requires extensive travel (approximately 75%), so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
In addition to electrical work, the selected candidate will be cross-trained in a variety of skilled trades, including welding, basic mechanical systems, rigging, and fabrication. This cross-functional approach provides opportunities for professional growth and well-rounded experience in the industrial field.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as an electrical technician, industrial electrician, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and controls.
  • Ability to use hand tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and control systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes (e.g., NEC), OSHA regulations, and PPE use.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills across multiple trades.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience are a plus, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • NFPA 70E and OSHA-10 certifications are a plus. If not already held, training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in industrial facilities.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform routine testing and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and code compliance.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems using tools and testing equipment to identify issues.
  • Work with control panels, motor controls, PLCs (basic level), and other industrial electrical components.
  • Collaborate with team members, Foremen, and Project Managers to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Participate in hands-on cross-training in welding, fabrication, rigging, and basic mechanical tasks as needed.
