EDUCATION

  • High school education supplemented by appropriate technical school training with 3 to 5 years industrial experience in industrial maintenance operations.
  • An associates degree in electronics or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years industrial maintenance control experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot facility and manufacturing control systems consisting of PLCs, AC and DC drives, computer controls, and HMI interfaces as well as traditional contactor type controls and process instrumentation.

  • Assist with projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability of existing plant and manufacturing control systems and equipment.

  • Write new or modify existing PLC programs and make system hardware recommendations to resolve operation problems, improve processes, and implement new project designs to support factory initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Document and maintain revisions to existing automated systems and maintain appropriate PLC and computer software/hardware information.

Qualifications:
-

Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of complex electromechanical systems found in overhead hoists, paint booth systems, conveyor systems, HVAC equipment, and a variety of other automated production machinery.

  • Strong knowledge of single phase and three phase industrial electricity to include voltages up to 13.2 kV.
  • Ability to read, interpret, modify, and create complex electrical schematics. AutoCAD experience desired.
  • Knowledge and skill in programming with Rockwell Automation Software including ControlLogix/RSLogix 5000, SLC 500, EtherNet/IP Design and Configuration, RS View and PanelView and PanelBuilder 32.
  • Experience with ABB and Fanuc Robotics Automation Systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment utilizing VFD’s, PLC’s, and motion control components.
  • Must be confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
