Manufacture one-off prototype parts and pre-production builds to refine assembly processes and resolve issues before full-scale production.
Plan workload with the departmental manager to meet project deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements.

Create and maintain accurate build records throughout the process.
Support testing and demonstration events for RML products.
Maintain a safe, organised working environment in line with 5S methodology.
Stay up to date with professional development (CPD) and research new technologies to enhance capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
BTEC National Certificate / ONC / A-Levels / Scottish Highers in a relevant discipline.
Training to City & Guilds Level 3 (NVQ-3) or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing automotive wiring harnesses for OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, engineering consultancies, or motorsport teams.
Skills & Attributes
Strong understanding of detailed work procedures and safe systems of work.
Skilled in electrical diagnostics and fault finding.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Able to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and work instructions.
Hands-on experience with wiring harness builds, crimping, and stripping tools.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Self-confident, adaptable, and customer-focused.
Why Join Us?
At RML, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team where your skills make a tangible difference. You’ll work on exciting projects that push the limits of engineering, in an environment that values quality, safety, and innovation.
