THE OPPORTUNITY – ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN, STAFF Required to undertake routine electrical maintenance and defect repair tasks to ensure the reliability and scheduled availability of operational plant and equipment associated with gas production/processing and condensate storage. Duration: Staff role Location: Barrow Gas Terminal; working 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. *Please note that no travel/accommodation costs are provided. Close Date for Applications: Friday 23th January AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT… In role you will be accountable for: Executing routine and on-routine maintenance activities to plant and equipment in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure the protection of plant, equipment and the safety of employees. Investigating complex technical problems relating to critical plant, identifies solutions and acts to return plant to normal operating service. Preparing and presenting technical reports and maintains appropriate records of activities within the recognised systems in order to maintain an accurate record of activities undertaken for the benefit of future analysis and third-party audit. Carrying out commissioning and decommissioning activities to ensure planned plant operating programmes are achieved in a timely manner. Contributing to the design and commissioning of plant modifications including the initiation of recommendations for modifications to ensure the ongoing availability of plant and equipment. Ensuring that safe working practices and procedures are adhered to within the area of work, and that appropriate permitry is in place to ensure the protection of plant, equipment, and the safety of employees. Carry out the duties of Power Technician and when suitably qualified, will act as SAEP/REP. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrable experience in petrochemical process operations or maintenance Knowledge of production/maintenance operations gained through experience of working in the oil and gas industry. A sound understanding of engineering principles A thorough knowledge of procedures and the process systems to ensure the ongoing integrity of health, safety and environmental performance. Effective communication skills both verbal and written. Responsibilities
