Description
Electrical Technician – Slabmaking Maintenance Team Are you wired for problem-solving? Got a knack for diagnosing faults faster than a multimeter on turbo mode? We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic self-starter to join the Slabmaking maintenance team, where your electrical trade skills will keep the steel flowing and the sparks flying (safely, of course). What You’ll Be Doing: Troubleshooting day-to-day electrical issues and recommending robust, long-lasting solutions. Assessing and following up on equipment issues that impact plant performance. Conducting inspections, planning maintenance, and monitoring equipment conditions. Owning the full job cycle: planning, supervising, isolating, executing electrical tasks, and following up. Coaching operators and tradespeople on equipment function and technology (yes, you’ll be the go-to guru). Performing root cause analysis and delivering clear, actionable reports. Boosting plant reliability through top-notch inspections and repairs. Completing routine electrical maintenance tasks with precision and pride. What You Bring: Electrical Diploma or post-trade training (highly regarded). PLC experience—ideally with AB, Citect, and Siemens. If you speak fluent ladder logic, we want to hear from you. A passion for mentoring, problem-solving, and making things run smoother than a freshly greased bearing. Why You’ll Love It: Be part of a team that values safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. Work on cutting-edge equipment in a dynamic industrial environment. Enjoy the satisfaction of solving real problems and seeing the impact of your work daily. Bonus Points If: You believe a good day starts with a solid lockout-tagout and ends with a plant running like a dream. Ready to energize your career?
