Pay Range: $28 – $30 per hour (W2)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Electrical Technologist to join our Controller Electronics Lab and Electronics Prototype Center. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain valuable experience in PCB Assembly (PCBA), soldering, lab testing, and engineering support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PCBA soldering, BGA rework, small card builds, and cable construction
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and electronic fixtures
  • Conduct experiments, testing, and documentation of prototype results
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Communicate findings to engineering teams and support project goals
  • Manage lab inventory, purchasing, and shipping of parts/assemblies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, PCB rework, and electrical assembly
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering diagrams
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC Certification (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with BGA rework and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering
  • Familiarity with prototype testing, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, and electronic systems
