Part of the Dussman Group of companies, STS Group is a well-established electrical and instrumentation engineering contractor offering design, installation and commissioning services across Ireland, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Tester to join our team across a range of exciting industrial projects from as far as Swindon to Slough. The successful applicant will be a time-served Electrician and have opportunity to grow their career with a rapidly growing company, with a healthy pipeline of work ahead.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • City & Guilds 2391 – Electrical Inspection and Testing Course Completed.
  • Must hold Gold ECS Card.
  • Must have experience in the NICEIC portal and how to upload test certs etc.
  • Technical Knowledge and experience of Low Voltage systems and regulatory requirements – incl. International Standards.
  • Ability to read detailed electrical drawings and cable schedule.
  • Ability to fault find/diagnose issues on installations while testing.
  • Must have good IT skills- MS Excel, Word. Etc.
  • IPAF/MEWP Training desirable but can be provided.
  • Must have your own reliable transport.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out Pre-Test Inspections (walk-down the field installation of each system term to term) on site and compile defect reports on compliance with national electrical regulations
  • Notify Project Manager and QC lead on the project of any non-conformances or hazards on site.
  • Carry out testing of Low Voltage (LV) installations as required by national governing bodies.
  • Verification of Redlined Drawings for the LV Installation that is being tested.
  • Update cable schedules, for changes made.
  • Complete Test Record Sheets as per International Standards/Client Requirement.
  • Assist in torquing of LV cables once tested.
  • Assist close-out of project issues / investigations / queries.
