• Responsible for inspecting and testing electrical systems and equipment and ensuring they comply with specification, electrical wiring regulations and standards.
• Keeping records, compile inspection and test reports for issue to site management team.
• Reviewing and compile test documents from specialist suppliers and sub contractors for inclusion in O&M and BCAR handover documentation.
• Advising on non-compliant installations.
• Inspecting wiring and terminations for quality and compliance.
• Writing up recommendations for improvement.
• Ensuring all test instruments have current calibration certificates and assist in maintaining the test instrument register.
• When not carrying out testing procedures, be available to carry out electrical installation works as required by the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
• Installation works shall include all aspects of low and extra low voltage systems and include but are not limited to, containment, cabling and wiring, final fix, glanding and terminating.
