The Labourer/Trade Assistant will support electricians and other skilled workers in the installation of electrical systems at the Binduli Solar Farm in Kalgoorlie, WA. The primary responsibilities include assisting with cable pulling, looming, and various other related tasks.

• Cable Pulling and Looming:
• Assist with pulling and laying electrical cables according to project specifications and industry standards.

• Ensure cables are properly labeled and securely fastened to avoid damage and ensure safety.

• Work with the electrical team to loom cables, creating neat and organised bundles for efficient installation and maintenance.

• Support Electrical Installations:

• Help in the installation of electrical components such as inverters, switchgear, and control panels.

• Assist electricians in the connection of cables to electrical equipment and devices.

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations and quality standards.

• Equipment Handling and Maintenance:

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to assist in the installation process.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues to the supervisor.

• Assist in the transportation and positioning of heavy equipment and materials as required.

• Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks to stay informed about safety practices and project updates.

• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

• Site Preparation and Cleanup:

• Assist in the preparation of work areas by setting up necessary equipment and materials.

• Ensure the work site is kept clean and free of debris to maintain a safe working environment.

• Help dismantle and store equipment and materials at the end of the project or workday.

• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with electricians, engineers, and other trade assistants to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.

• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues that arise.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to a positive team environment.
