Job Description We are partnering with a globally recognised leader in heavy machinery and off-highway vehicle innovation to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. This exciting opportunity involves working on the integration of advanced and autonomous technologies into existing vehicle platforms, with a strong focus on wiring systems and harness design rather than full electrical distribution system (EDS) ownership. Key Responsibilities: Wiring Systems Design & Integration Design, develop and modify electrical wiring harnesses and routing solutions Support the integration of new technologies into complex vehicle platforms Work on physical electrical systems (non-EDS) within machine environments Standards & Compliance Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and best practices, including: Wiring conventions Grounding and circuit protection EMC considerations Labelling and documentation Maintain a strong focus on safety, reliability, and quality Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with mechanical, systems, and software engineering teams Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design challenges Support prototype builds and production readiness Engineering Lifecycle Support Participate in design reviews and validation activities Support engineering change processes (ECR/ECO) Troubleshoot electrical integration issues Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout the lifecycle Qualifications Required Skills: Up to 5 years’ experience in electrical design (automotive, off-highway, aerospace or similar) Hands-on experience with wiring harnesses / electrical integration (non-EDS) Good understanding of electrical standards, validation, and compliance Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience. Desirable Skills: Experience supporting products through multiple development stages, from concept to production.
